The Roselli Hunting knife, Damascus brings together our original Hunting knife design from 1976 with some of the most demanding craftsmanship at Roselli. Originally developed for Finnish moose hunters, its proven blade shape has been used for decades for hunting, processing game and demanding outdoor work.
The 105 mm blade provides the reach and control needed when working with larger game such as moose, deer and wild boar. Its profile is particularly well suited to skinning and processing game, while the substantial 4.5–5.5 mm blade gives the knife the solid feel expected from a traditional Finnish hunting knife.
The blade is made from Roselli’s own handcrafted Damascus steel, created from over 1,000 layers of steel. Each Damascus blade is made by our blacksmith Juho in Harmoinen, Finland. Creating such a fine layered structure is a meticulous and exceptionally time-intensive process that requires considerable skill, experience and craftsmanship before the blade can be shaped and finished by hand.
As the steel is worked, the intricate Damascus pattern develops throughout the blade. No two patterns are exactly alike, giving every finished knife its own individual character. With a hardness of around 60 HRC, the blade combines precise cutting performance with the distinctive appearance and exceptional craftsmanship of traditional Damascus steel.
The handle is crafted from stained Finnish curly birch and treated with linseed oil for a comfortable and secure grip. 925 sterling silver ferrules add a refined detail, complementing the natural grain of the wood and the unique pattern of the Damascus blade.
Each Hunting knife, Damascus is crafted, sharpened and finished by hand in Harmoinen, Finland. It comes with a handcrafted sheath made from dark, vegetable-tanned Finnish leather, a diamond sharpener and a premium gift box.
Made to individual order in Harmoinen, Finland.
